About the 24 Carrot Challenge
Tri-State Food Bank is currently holding its 4rd annual 24 Carrot Challenge, presented by Sarah Pepper and the HOT96 Morning Show. The 24 Carrot Challenge is a virtual 24-day fundraising challenge to individuals, companies, and organizations that takes place June 1 – June 24, 2022.
Sarah Pepper and Clay Roth from the HOT96 Morning Show will go live on-air to challenge our community to join in the fight against Tri-State hunger by texting CARROT to 71777 to make a donation to Tri-State Food Bank.
The Name
Tri-State Food Bank was incorporated on June 24, 1982. Each year, for the first 24 days in June, Tri-State Food Bank celebrates its anniversary by mobilizing and energizing individuals and businesses around the Tri-State to join us in the fight against hunger.
The Goal
Our goal is to raise $24,000 to help Tri-State Food Bank serve people facing hunger in our region.
The Need
133,040 people (1 in 6) in our Tri-State service area are projected to face hunger this year, including 40,100 children (1 in 5). This year, all proceeds from the 24 Carrot Challenge will support our Weekend BackPack Food for Kids Program, which provides weekend nutrition for children facing hunger throughout the year.
